Celebration of Peace, Progress, and Unity, Lynwood
The City of Lynwood has over the years, celebrated its ethnic diversity and sought to bring about cultural awareness through its many programs and celebrations and no celebration in the history of the City is larger than what is being described as a "Celebration of Peace, Progress, and Unity". The City of Lynwood has proclaimed the month of September as "The Hispanic Heritage Month".
The month long celebration kick-off with a three (3) day Street Fair "Fiestas Patrias" on the 2nd or 3rd week of September. This traditional fiesta celebrates the music, dance and foods of various countries of Latin America. There will be game booths and carnival rides for the entire family.
Applications for vendors are being accepted at the Lynwood Recreation and Community Services Department, 11301 Bullis Road in Lynwood, Monday through Thursday from 7:00 a.m.-9:00 a.m., 12:00 p.m.-2:00 p.m., 3:30 p.m.-5:30 p.m.
