Freedom Socialist Party Branch Meeting: The Debate over Cuba’s Future - 7pm
(Solidarity Hall, 2170 W. Washington Bl)

Thursday, January 7, 7:00 pm—Branch Meeting: The Debate over Cuba’s Future.

For five decades, the Cuban people have defended their revolution against economic, political and military pressure, and today their system is in danger as never before. FSP’s call to strengthen the revolution through increased workers democracy in “Cuba’s Fate, Balanced on a Razor’s Edge,” published in the Freedom Socialist, ignited an international debate over what is actually needed to protect and extend the gains made by the Cuban people. Join in the discussion over what is the role of U.S. supporters of the Cuban workers state, and how to build a movement here in the U.S. strong enough and broad enough to stop the criminal U.S. blockade of and military threats against Cuba.

Become part of the struggle to build a new society. Come to a branch meeting and learn how the FSP works toward our goal of an equalitarian, socialist society in the U.S. and around the world. Topics vary from month to month, but there’s always something exciting to discuss. Watch this spot for more details.

A home-cooked dinner will be served at 6:30pm for an $8 donation. The meeting will be held at Solidarity Hall, 2170 W. Washington Bl. (off the 10 freeway at Western, on bus lines 35, 207 & 550)
