King Week Gospel Celebration 2010

Jeffrey J. Coprich, Sr. and the L. A. Inner City Mass Choir, Inc./Inner City Youth Foundation, Inc. will honor Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. with a Gospel Celebration that will kick off a "King Week Gospel Celebration 2010".
This is a free Community Service event that will take place at Greater Mt. Carmel Baptist Church located at 6001 S. Hoover St. Los Angeles, Ca. on Saturday, January 9, 2010 at 5:00pm.
Metro Community Meeting—Compton

Metro will hold a community workshop meeting in Compton on January 9 to discuss potential improvements and beautification plans surrounding the Wilmington/Imperial/Rosa Parks Blue and Green Line station areas in an effort to update the public on the Transit Oriented District Plan.
The meeting will be held at the Ronald McNair Elementary School (Cafeteria), 1450 West El Segundo Blvd, in Compton from 10 a.m. to noon
Free Legal Clinic Opening
(New Direction Christian Church, 8764 South Broadway, Los Angeles, CA )
The grand opening of the Mesereau Free Legal Clinic will be Saturday, January 9, at 10 a.m.
“This facility will offer a range of free services for South L.A. residents including legal counseling, alternative dispute resolution, expungements, gang injunction removals and reentry transition guidance,” said Mesereau, clinic founder. “Our goal is to provide tangible assistance and advice to those community members who are least able to afford it. We invite the public to come celebrate the opening and learn about our services,” he said.
The clinic will open for clients on January 16, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
