Historic Inglewood Theatres

Event concerning the endangered Fox Theatre. The event involves a "PowerPoint presentation of Historic Inglewood Theatres and a photographic look inside the Fox Theatre. A speaker from the Academy Cathedral will describe how this historic theatre has seen new life and is thriving as a church. There will be a brief tour of the Academy Cathedral following." It takes place at the Academy Cathedral on Saturday, February 20th. Doors open at 1:30pm and the show starts at 2:00pm. Address: 3141 W Manchester Blvd, Inglewood.




VFW Black History program
(303 W. Palmer St., Compton, CA)

The Ladies Auxiliary of the Veterans of Foreign Warts Post No. 5394 will host a Black History program on Saturday, Feb. 20, from 2 to 5 p.m.

Featured will be refreshments, door prizes and raffles.

Tickets are $10, with children 12 and under free.

Enjoy an exuberant celebration of color, sound, movement and spirit with Futa Toro! Allow yourself to be transported to a West African Village in this vibrant, hand-clapping event.
Got Rhythm! is a captivating dance and music performance based in the indigenous American art form of rhythm tap dance. The ensemble engages the audience, encouraging each person to discover the tap dance or musician inside.

Performance tickets are FREE and are distributed on a first-come basis Grand Avenue at 2nd Street.
Tickets for 11 a.m. performance distributed beginning at 10:00 a.m.
Tickets for 12:30 p.m. performance distributed beginning at 11:00 a.m.

World City at the Music Center brings to downtown Los Angeles the seventh season of exceptional artists. This FREE programming for families showcases cultures from around the world through dance, music, song, and storytelling.
NOTE: The W.M. Keck Children's Amphitheatre is an intimate outdoor performance space. Sunscreen and appropriate seasonal attire are strongly encouraged. In the event of rain, event will be moved to a nearby indoor location.
