Modern and Contemporary Art Tour (5 p.m. - 6 p.m.)

Take a one hour tour of the Los Angeles County Museum of Art. Experience a large selection of art objects by artists like Picasso. The art guides will give pointers on how to appreciate such artwork. The tour costs $25 per person and is for an escorted private tour. Regular admission to the museum is $12 per adult and can be purchased separately at the museum prior to the tour.

The Bellflower Theater Company announced its first free acting class! The Youth Cultural Arts Foundation invites children from 8 - 14 years old to register for acting classes at 1 p.m. A parent must be present and must attend a parent meeting at 2 p.m. Information regarding scheduling and performance dates will be available at the parent meeting. Classes will be held every Saturday from 1 p.m. - 4 p.m.

A women-led march down Wilshire to rally in MacArthur Park with music, food and children’s activities. Men encouraged to march too!

Prostate Cancer Screening (10 a.m. - 3 p.m.)

Mayor Eric J. Perrodin and the City of Compton joined with Dr. Ronald Hill, senior pastor, to offer free, confidential prostate cancer education and screening. Participants must be 40 years or older.
Whale Watching (9:30 a.m.)
(Spirit Cruises Berth 77 at Ports O'Call Village in San Pedro)
Spirit Cruises will present a whale watching trip. The boat will depart at 10 a.m. and return at about noon.
Tickets are $20 and are available at the Cabrillo Marine Aquarium. Proceeds will go toward the purchase of costumes for the annual re-enactment of explorer Juan Rodriguez Cabrillo's landing on San Miguel Island 1543.
