WORKSHOP at USC: Empowerment through community journalism and social media - 1pm
(USC Annenberg School for Communication and Journalism, Radio News Room)

Intersections: the South Los Angeles Report will be hosting a workshop on Thursday, March 18th at 1pm. The title of the workshop is "Empowerment through Community Journalism and Social Media" and will include an overview of the web's most useful sites and tools for citizen journalists and information on how to use social media effectively. From Facebook and Twitter to local community hubs online.

We will also be doing some reporting... so please come prepared with a story idea you would like to pursue or a personal experience you would like to share. We will be working with text, audio, video and photography.
