On-the-road city budget meeting (6 pm)
(Council District 9 City Hall, 4301 S. Central Avenue, Los Angeles)

This is one of four community meetings the Los Angeles City Council Budget and Finance Committee will hold throughout the city in preparation of the 2010-2011 Budget. These meetings will provide residents the opportunity to hear about current fiscal challenges and discuss their budget priorities directly with Councilmembers and staff.

9am South LA Media Get-Together: Hosted by Intersections

Intersections: the South Los Angeles Report would like to invite editors, journalists and contributors to media outlets in the South LA area (including Compton, Inglewood and Watts) to join staff and professors at USC's Annenberg School for coffee and conversation.

This casual meeting will provide an opportunity for representatives of South LA-area media outlets to connect, collaborate, and discuss the shared issues surrounding media coverage south of the city.
