Opening September 18th 24th Street Theatre:
La Razon Blindada by renowned Latin American writer/actor/director Arístides Vargas

In a prison of pain and torture two men build a universe out of history, literature and memories. Transforming a maximum security prison into a surreal world of knights, dragons, and maidens.
LA RAZÓN BLINDADA is a sublime retelling of Miguel De Cervantez' Don Quijote de la Mancha. The play eclectically draws from Franz Kafka's The Truth of Sancho Panza, and testimonies by Chico Vargas and other political prisoners held in the 1970's Rawson Prison during Argentina's dictatorship.
Arístides Vargas is an award winning Latin American actor/director/writer who was born in 1954 in Argentina. He was forced into exile after Argentina's bloody dictatorship in the 70's and 80's. As a theatre artist Arístides has traveled to many Latin America countries as well as, Puerto Rico, Spain and the United States. His latest trip to Los Angeles was at UCLA's Freud Playhouse with The House of Rigoberta Faces South in 2004.
