The Pan African Film Festival kicks off its nearly two-week run next Thursday, February 9th at the Baldwin Hills Crenshaw Plaza.
Over the course of the festival, 160 films from 30 countries will compete for the PAFF's awards in categories like Best Documentary Feature, Best Documentary Short, Best Narrative Short, Best Narrative Feature, and Best First Feature Film.
Leading the race is "Chico & Rita," which earned an Academy Award nomination for Best Animated Feature Film at the announcement in January.
