Halloween at the Horrific Hoover Recreation Center
Pros: Carnival and haunted house!
Cons: "Officials"...
The official Halloween Party site for the City of Los Angeles! The Parks and Recreation Department will fill the park, basketball court and gym with inflatable games, a haunted house and candy. Entrance is free, but the carnival will cost $5 for three tickets. (From University Park Family.com)

Haute Dog Howl’oween Parade
Pros: Dogs in costume.
Cons: People who dress their dogs in costume.
Location: Starts and ends at Livingston Park, 4900 E. Livingston Dr. at Park Ave., Long Beach, CA 90803. The pups parade on the sidewalk down Park Ave. to 2nd Street to Nieto and back on the other side of the street.

Cons: Really, really scary. And yet cheesy, short, and underdeveloped too.

Staying at home and watching a horror movie
