Confusion and outrage spread over homeless count


A new report claims that homelessness dropped 38 percent during the recession. That's come as a shock to homeless activists who have seen increased demand for their services, especially from families struggling with homelessness for the first time. Now many service providers are saying the new homeless count is misleading. Timothy Beck Werth of Annenberg Radio News has the story; click below to listen.










Leroy is a single father living in Los Angeles with his thirteen year old son. He has been homeless for over a month, but has just entered the Union Rescue Mission a week ago. He shared some of his experiences with Brittany Knotts.
