Federal government allocates $50 million to heat California homes

The Watts Times reported that Health and Human Services Secretary Kathleen Sebelius released $50,257,301 to California to provide low-income citizens with heat until the end of 2009.

The funding is part of the Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP). The program helps eligible families cover the costs of heating their homes during the winter.
