Relief and emotion at Grim Sleeper community meeting
By Mia Henry
LAPD and Councilman Bernard Parks held a community meeting in South Los Angeles on July 22, 2010 to give an update to residents about the Grim Sleeper serial killer arrest. There is relief that suspect Lonnie David Franklin Jr. has been arrested for the alleged murders of 11 victims from 1985-2007, but people are not completely confident that the familial DNA procedure used by LAPD will hold.
The main question that family members and the community kept asking was why he killed these people.
