Renovated South LA rec center re-opens

Kids and community members met in South Los Angeles today to celebrate the opening of the Gilbert Lindsay Recreation Center. The center is named after the late councilman Gilbert Lindsay, who represented the area for 30 years. The center is on 42nd Place near San Pedro Street. Hannah Kim of Annenberg Radio News reports on the renovated center that brings more activity to a neighborhood that was once home to L.A.s own Wrigley Field.
