The $1.8 billion project will run through El Segundo, Hawthorne, Inglewood, Leimert Park and Los Angeles. The light rail line has an estimated completion date of 2018.
Damien Goodmon, a resident of Leimert Park, says the light rail project will be beneficial for South Los Angeles if it is built underground.
